The Business Development Director will lead strategic growth initiatives for Diversey Canada’s Cleaning & Hygiene category, focusing on large corporate accounts. This role is responsible for expanding our market penetration, driving revenue, building long-term partnerships, and positioning Diversey as a trusted solutions provider for enterprise-level clients. This individual will lead the creation and implementation of sales initiatives aligned with the Corporate Accounts team growth strategy to expand our market share. Responsible for driving new product introductions as a key component to new customer acquisition strategy. Develop market intelligence and provide feedback to marketing and technology teams. Develop and foster relationships with key executives and strategic customers. Ideal candidates will live within the vicinity of Mississauga, ON, or the southern Ontario region. GENERAL SCOPE Manages a base of business ranges from very little to large base. A Sales Professional must have a defined territory or industry where they have sufficient opportunity to capture competitively held business; and assigned an aggressive and achievable revenue growth target.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Account Management
- Develop and execute business development strategies targeting large corporate accounts.
- Build multi-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Works closely with Key Account managers and other Directors to understand business requirements and market needs.
- Revenue Growth
- Identify new business segments and opportunities and expand share of wallet within existing accounts.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and ensure profitability.
- Prioritize market segment development activities and set revenue targets
- Solution Selling
- Position Diversey’s cleaning and hygiene solutions as value-added offerings.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Provide insights to influence product development and pricing strategies.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure seamless execution.
- Mentor and guide account managers on strategic selling approaches.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in cleaning, hygiene, or facility services.
- Proven track record of managing large corporate accounts and delivering revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to travel across Canada and occasionally internationally.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene industry standards and compliance.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and ESG-related solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar).
- Computer literacy, including competency related to MS Windows-based applications.
