About the role

Who We Are: At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level; whether it's cash, check, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 26,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $4 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It's how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.

Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K–12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. We're headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.

If you're excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.

About the Role The Marketing team is integral to KEV's success, driving growth and brand visibility through collaboration and deep expertise. We partner across the organization to deliver scalable programs, compelling stories, and operational excellence — and we're building a team that thrives on creativity, agility, and a shared commitment to impact.

We're looking for a creative, execution-focused Content Marketer to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and executing high-impact content that fuels brand growth, elevates thought leadership, and drives demand generation.

You'll create content across multiple formats — from short-form, social-first content to blogs, customer stories, and long-form assets like research reports and guides — bringing our brand voice to life and supporting our goals across thought leadership, demand generation, and customer engagement. This is a hands-on role for a strong writer and communicator who can work independently and contribute strategically.

If you thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy creating content for the full buyer journey, and can turn complex topics into compelling narratives, this role is for you.

How You'll Contribute

  • Write and produce high-quality content — including blog posts, customer stories, guides, video scripts, research reports, bylines, infographics, social content, and more to support marketing campaigns and sales enablement.
  • Support content strategy — help shape campaign plans, editorial calendars, and content priorities to ensure content aligns with business objectives and buyer journey needs.
  • Contribute new content ideas — proactively identify opportunities aligned to business goals, product updates, and industry trends.
  • Repurpose and optimize content — transform existing assets into new formats (e.g., webinars → blog posts, long-form pieces → short-form social) to maximize reach and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally — partner with marketing, sales, product, and customer success stakeholders to develop content that's insightful, relevant, and strategically aligned.
  • Interview subject matter experts — extract insights from internal teams and customers to create accurate and compelling narratives.
  • Maintain and evolve brand voice — ensure all content reflects KEV's tone and resonates with key buyer personas across the full buyer journey.
  • Apply SEO and AEO best practices — write with optimization in mind to improve visibility, discoverability, and search performance across key channels.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a similar role — ideally in B2B SaaS, EdTech, or FinTech.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create engaging, high-impact content for every stage of the buyer's journey.
  • Proficient in SEO and AEO, including keyword research, content optimization, and use of tools such as SEMrush, Google Analytics and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot).
  • Skilled in creating content across multiple formats (long-form written, video, short-form social).
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator.
  • An analytical thinker who can derive original insights from data to inform content strategy and continuous improvement.
