As Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for developing high quality solutions formula Prospera’s enterprise applications. You will work to develop enterprise applications including web, windows applications, desktop applications, micro-services, and API’s. You may customize commercial off the shelf software, including enhancements and maintenance and work with internal and external teams. Programmer Analysts are relied upon to be a self-starter who can co-ordinate and guide solutions through the software development life cycle to ensure the right functionality is delivered at the right time and is an active participant in efforts to continuously improve and innovate. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Architects and peer developers while taking direction from the Manager, Enterprise Applications and lead programmer analyst.

What you’ll do:

  • Implement staff and member solutions on multiple user platforms (Server, Client, Desktop, Web, API, Container) as well as work on backend database and integration of the solutions in a diverse enterprise ecosystem.
  • Perform code reviews as needed to provide feedback on coding, security, and quality as per established standards.
  • Develop solutions for a hybrid ecosystem of cloud and on-premise data centers.
  • Follow DevSecDataOps methodologies to create and maintain software solutions, including developing solutions, unit tests, adding data sources, documenting for release and operation, and conducting vulnerability testing.
  • Participate and contribute to the design of software solutions as required.
  • Work with technical architects and data teams to apply common design patterns and practices to solution designs
  • Follow approved patterns and practices for implementation of designs as solutions.
  • Provide estimates on work being assigned and be able to discuss effort required to implement solutions. Able to become a go-to resource for one or more products and guide others as you mature in the role.
  • Participate and contribute to the design of software solutions as required.
  • Work with technical architects and data teams to apply common design patterns and practices to solution designs
  • Follow approved patterns and practices for implementation of designs as solutions.
  • Provide estimates on work being assigned and be able to discuss effort required to implement solutions. Able to become a go-to resource for one or more products and guide others as you mature in the role.
  • Utilize training and innovation time to stay knowledgeable on technical trends and tools in financial services and be willing to grow through training and coaching.
  • Utilize innovation time to investigate new ideas or create proof of concept software services that can benefit Prospera
  • Is willing to challenge themselves to technically grow and innovate as part of annual goal setting.

What you bring:

  • Minimum High School Diploma with some distance learning in software development. Preference given to candidates with software certifications and/or post-secondary education in software development/Information Technology.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge and previous use of Core Banking Systems, Origination Systems, ITSM systems, and Workflow Systems.
  • Preference given to candidates with demonstrable software development and test experience as part of curriculum.
  • Minimum 1-3 years application development experience using .NET, C#, HTML, API’s, GIT Code management, SQL coding experience.
  • Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Power Apps, Wealthview banking (Nice to have)
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of applications used in a financial services environment, as well as general knowledge of Microsoft based enterprise systems.

What We Offer:

  • Prospera offers a total compensation package of base salary plus incentives that is market competitive and reviewed annually. Our expected pay for this role is $42.69 to $47.43 per hour based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
