About the Role
The Senior Specialist, Project Planning - Process Control is responsible for coordinating and optimizing planning activities related to process of Formation & Aging. This role ensures that all process planning, scheduling, and control initiatives align with operational goals and regulatory standards. The Planning Coordinator is the connector between operational teams, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and data-driven decision-making.
This position is in-person and located in the charming town of St. Thomas ON.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize integrated project schedules to ensure alignment between process control initiatives, production targets, and organizational priorities.

Lead cross-functional coordination of equipment lifecycle activities — from delivery through installation, commissioning, and seamless transition into production — to safeguard timelines and quality standards.

Anticipate and mitigate project risks by identifying potential blockers related to equipment delivery, utility readiness, or contractor performance, ensuring business continuity.

Foster collaboration across planning, maintenance, and operations teams to synchronize efforts and drive alignment with production efficiency and output goals; Oversee project execution with a focus on milestone achievement, budget adherence, and technical scope compliance, ensuring strategic objectives are met.

Develop and maintain detailed schedules for process control projects; Coordinates equipment delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover to production;Identifies potential blockers in equipment delivery, utility readiness, or contractor coordination.

Drive taskforce initiatives from inception through ramp-up and ongoing support, enabling rapid response to critical challenges and opportunities.

Leverage process data analytics to monitor performance trends, detect inefficiencies, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Maintain documentation related to process control systems, including SOPs, change logs, and compliance records. Implements structured feedback loops from past projects (e.g., ramp delays, vendor underperformance).

Leverage process data analytics to identify performance trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.

Champion the integration of automation and control strategies to improve production reliability, reduce downtime, and strengthen operational resilience.
What you bring to the Team

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.

Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing and industrial automation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Oracle platform "Primavera") and ERP systems.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Deep understanding on cell production equipment design, implementation and continuous improvements

Battery cell manufacturing experience is preferred

Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field. is an asset
