Position Purpose
Responsible for assisting the instruction of ski and/or snowboard lessons to customers of all ages and abilities. For full details, please see attached job description.
Minimum Qualifications

Excellent ski/snowboard ability

Knowledge of The Alpine Responsibility Code;

Ability to work in and withstand severe cold and adverse weather conditions;

Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), deemed as satisfactory by the Town;

Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C is considered an asset;

Position Summary
Responsible for assisting the instruction of ski and/or snowboard lessons to customers of all ages and abilities.
Responsibilities
-
Plans and implements the instruction of Cub Club Snowboard Lessons (3-6yrs);
-
Assists in the planning, implementation and instruction of ski and snowboard lessons;
-
Assists in assessing skills of participants during lessons;
-
Assists in monitoring participants and adapts lessons as necessary;
-
Assists in lesson preparations (i.e. as on-hill set up and tear down, structured lesson plans, etc.)
-
Demonstrates a high level of customer service and provides this service on the front-line of operation.
-
Interacts with participants, staff, spectators and community members;
-
Assists in following up with parent/guardian at the end of each lesson regarding the students' progression;
-
Ensures all participants are wearing the industry standard equipment required for their lesson (helmet, boots, bindings, skis and board)
-
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays (Christmas Break, Family Day weekend and March Break).

- Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), deemed as satisfactory by the Town;
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C is an asset.
