A Night Laundry Attendant washes, dries, folds, and organizes linens/garments overnight, operating commercial machines, sorting by color/fabric, treating stains, maintaining equipment, and keeping the laundry area clean, often working independently to ensure fresh supplies for the next day.
- Processing Laundry: Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and sometimes ironing/mending linens, towels, uniforms, and guest items.
- Equipment Operation: Safely using commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry machinery.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Keeping the laundry room spotless, cleaning machines, and emptying lint traps.
- Inventory & Stocking: Restocking supplies (detergent, bags) and preparing laundry for distribution.
- Quality Control: Inspecting items for stains or damage and ensuring proper sanitization.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for sorting and quality checks.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and adhere to schedules.
- Teamwork: Supporting the housekeeping/hospitality team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, lift, and move items.
