Title: Program Advisor, Harm Reduction

Salary: $99,469 - $107,543 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)

Location: Park Royal office (Metro Vancouver) - on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations – Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role may be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

Bargaining Unit: PSAC Local 22000 (Public Service Alliance of Canada)

About The Role As Program Advisor, Harm Reduction, you will implement all aspects of the FNHA First Nation Harm Reduction Education Program developed in response to the toxic drug public health emergency. You will provide recommendation to FNHA senior management on matters related to Harm Reduction program development and contribute to the alignment and development of corporate policies. As well as you will manage harm reduction programs including the Not Just Naloxone Harm Reduction Program. Also, you will assist with financial management and completing financial system requirements to the Toxic drug poisoning framework for action and annual operating plan. Additionally, you will research, investigate, analyse and resolve complex issues for enhancing harm reduction program operational plans and frameworks. In addition, you will liaise with external bodies and coordinate meetings, trainings, activities, collaborations and mentorship and related learning opportunities.

About You Education and experience

  • A University degree with a minimum of six years of relevant experience or an acceptable combination of education, training

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of community-based health policy, programming and service leadership
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices and methods pertaining to community health-based accreditation and quality improvement
  • Knowledge of change management principles, asset mapping and QI Project Planning
