Full-Time, Indefinite Term

Starting in the 2026–2027 academic year, Ashbury will welcome Grade 3 students into our Junior School. This exciting expansion opens new doors for families and reflects our commitment to nurturing young learners from an early age. As such, Ashbury College is currently seeking a Junior School Teacher responsible for Grade 3 Core subjects, supervision duties and school trips.
As the successful candidate, you are an enthusiastic and dedicated educator who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic learning environment. You bring a deep understanding of early years pedagogy and a commitment to nurturing foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. You actively contribute to the broader life of the school through co-curricular programs that support student well-being, creativity, and community engagement.
Your teaching practice reflects evidence-based strategies, effective use of technology, and innovative approaches to course design and delivery that foster student engagement and growth. You demonstrate a commitment to inclusive teaching practices that honour the diverse identities, experiences, and learning needs of all students.
Your education, experience and qualifications include the following:
- Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
- B. Ed. (ideally in Primary and Junior grades) or M.Ed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching primary years.
- Evidence of teaching that has been enhanced by technology.
- Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail.
- Fluency in oral and written French is an asset.
- International Baccalaureate experience is an asset.
- Additional qualifications in reading and mathematics is an asset.
Ashbury College provides a competitive compensation and benefits package, including participation in the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
This appointment is for an indefinite-term position (Probationary Contract) effective August 31, 2026.

The compensation range for this position is $78,200 - $128,000, and could be greater, based on qualifications and years of experience.
