Production Associate - Packaging Operator - Night Shift

About the role
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the final product net weight is above the required packaged weight with the correct code date.
- Ensures that broken, cracked, or chipped corner tofu is not packaged.
- Works together with the Packaging Team Lead to ensure labels or films are centred on the packages and are sealed with no leaks.
- Leakers and unaligned film packages are to be kept separately in large baskets.
- Ensures all products are stacked on good, correct type of pallets and meet the “ti hi” requirement.
- Ensures that all equipment is properly sanitized as GMP requires before production starts
- Reports workers’ conflicts and concerns to the leadership team immediately so that follow-up action can be taken in a timely manner
- Works with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
- Trains and mentors fellow employees to increase their skill level in all activities
- Observes and follows company safety rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and team-building skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is mainly performed in the production plant
- Permanent Full-Time position

Schedule
- 8.5-hour workday - 15min (paid) coffee break and 30 min (unpaid meal break)
- Monday to Friday
- Shift: Night (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Ability to commute/relocate
- Delta, BC V4G 0A5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
