Position Description

The Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Canadian Politics at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective July 1, 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and publish in leading academic journals.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Canadian Politics.
  • Supervise graduate students.
  • Participate in departmental and university service.

Qualifications

Required

  • A PhD in Political Science or a related field by the time of appointment.
  • A strong record of research and publication in Canadian Politics.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience in interdisciplinary research.
  • Ability to contribute to the department’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
