Job Title: Technologist (Casual) – Culinary Program Department: School of Art and Design – Culinary Program Location: College Drive Campus – North Bay, ON Status: Temporary Part-Time Assignment dates: September 8 – December 18, 2026 Hours Per Week: Up to 24 hours Pay Rate: $27.93/hour + 6% vacation pay Application Deadline: Tuesday, July 7, 2026 – 12:00 p.m. The College is looking for a casual/on-call Technologist for the Culinary Program to provide coverage on an as needed basis during the Fall semester: Mondays 8:00 am-1:00 pm Tuesdays 8:00 am-1:00 pm Wednesdays 8:00 am-1:00 pm Thursdays 2:30-8:30 pm Fridays 2:30-8:30 pm Qualifications: Two-year Diploma in a Culinary or Hospitality-related field Smart Serve, First Aid/CPR, and Basic Food Safety Training A minimum of three years of commercial kitchen/dining room experience in a management role An understanding of food and beverage control systems Computer literacy and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Evening work required In-person, on-campus position. Must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON Responsibilities: Demonstrates and enforces safe working habits and monitors students in the Culinary Labs Demonstrate proper techniques and use of equipment Ensures adequate supplies and materials for each lab session Completes inventory as required, checks invoices for deliveries received Supervises students to ensure kitchen facilities are clean and sanitary Answers queries from students related to demonstrations in the lab Liaises with faculty to ensure lab demonstrations align with the curriculum Other duties as assigned Applications will be accepted by the Organizational Development and Talent Management Department through our Career Portal at https://www.canadorecollege.ca/about/careers until 12:00 p.m., on the closing date.
