We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing organization, for a Maintenance Manager. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient manufacturing processes. Working closely with the maintenance team and plant leadership, you will lead preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and the ongoing development of maintenance personnel. What You'll Do

Lead the maintenance team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems. Promote and maintain compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, automation, and production equipment issues while identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions. Support the installation, commissioning, modification, and decommissioning of manufacturing equipment. Coordinate maintenance activities involving PLCs, automated machinery, control systems, motors, conveyors, pneumatic equipment, and other production assets. Assign projects, monitor progress, and provide coaching and technical guidance to maintenance team members. Manage maintenance inventory and coordinate the procurement of replacement parts, materials, and equipment. Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to support maintenance projects. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase equipment reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency. Monitor maintenance performance using key metrics and recommend improvements based on data and trends. Participate as a member of the plant leadership team in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare maintenance reports, documentation, and recommendations for leadership. Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance management.

What We're Looking For

Certified Millwright (433A) licence preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant maintenance experience. Minimum 3 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience. Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment, PLCs, VFDs, and process automation systems. Experience in foam manufacturing, foam fabrication, or a similar continuous manufacturing environment is considered an asset. Knowledge of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems is an asset. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Understanding of Canadian electrical and workplace safety standards. Experience operating or working around material handling equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts is an asset. Knowledge of fire alarm systems and facility maintenance is an asset. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate technical information clearly with a variety of audiences. Experience leading teams, managing priorities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is considered an asset.
