Job Title: CNC Milling Operator

Location: Mississauga, ON Pay Rate: CA$25.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Shift: Afternoon shift Job Overview We are currently hiring an experienced CNC Milling Operator for a growing custom machine-building environment. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who can independently set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Mills while producing high-precision components to tight tolerances. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on machining experience, and the ability to optimize processes for quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Mills
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
  • Program using G-code and conversational controls
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining specifications
  • Select appropriate tooling, inserts, speeds, and feeds based on material type and tolerances
  • Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust offsets as required
  • Improve cycle times and machining efficiency through continuous optimization
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Complete setup sheets, production logs, and program documentation accurately Qualifications
  • Technical diploma in Machining, Manufacturing, or related field (required)
  • Minimum 3+ years of CNC milling setup and programming experience
  • Strong experience operating Haas CNC Mills
  • Advanced proficiency in Mastercam - Strong understanding of GDsT and blueprint reading
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments
  • Experience working in a custom machine-building environment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing drawings
  • Manual machining experience (lathe / mill) considered an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
