Position Overview: We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious AZ/DZ Driver to transport materials and heavy equipment, to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of road safety regulations, excellent driving skills and the ability to operate a float with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a DZ Truck, or AZ float/trailer to transport materials and heavy equipment to and from designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe and efficient transport process.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer; and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Secure loads properly, ensuring that all items are safely strapped and secured for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including driver logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, other drivers, and on-site personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck and trailer.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario DZ or AZ license with a clean driving record
- 3 Years heavy driving experience
Education and Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
