Responsibilities Tasks
- Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
- Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
- Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
- Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
- Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
Job Duties
- Lead and oversee large-scale construction projects and organizational operations. This role sets strategic objectives, manages resources, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Guide middle managers, drive operational excellence, and represent the company in negotiations and stakeholder engagements.
- Oversee adherence to building codes, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.
- Define organizational goals, policies, and programs for construction operations. Set strategic objectives and develop policies/programs to guide organizational direction.
- Approve budgets, allocate financial, material, and human resources, and establish internal controls and promotional strategies. Oversee workforce planning.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate middle managers, project executives, and department leaders. Manage the execution of commissions, including directly managing staff within the core service section, fee budgets and section and project profitability.
- Select, mentor, and evaluate middle managers and senior roles to effectively support the operations.
- Ensure alignment of regional and project teams with corporate objectives.
- Represent the organization in client negotiations, regulatory meetings, and industry forums.
- Drive adoption of new technologies, sustainability practices, and process improvements. Serve as the organization’s representative by leading client negotiations to secure favourable terms, participating in regulatory meetings to ensure compliance, advocating for project interests, and engaging in industry forums to strengthen relationships, share expertise, and enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.

Other: Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in construction cost estimating of a variety of building types from program, conceptual, schematic, design development and construction document stages of design in elemental and CSI format for all architectural, structural, and civil components of new construction and renovation projects. Some MEP estimating experience preferred. AACE International, Certified Cost Professional or RICS certification in Project Management preferred. Knowledge and understanding of execution of cost management services; good planning, organization, and communication skills essential. Understanding of technical and non-technical documents related to cost management services required. Knowledge and use of industry-estimating software and Microsoft Office software programs. Demonstrated experience in Project Controls, Program Strategy & Set-up, Project Management, Program Management, Supply Chain Optimization, Portfolio Optimization, Scheduling, Stakeholder Management, Procurement, Cost Management, Risk Management
