###About this position:

The Advisor, Marketing & Communications supports the execution of strategic marketing initiatives in close partnership with internal business leaders. Operating within a consultative marketing model, this role contributes to the planning and delivery of tailored marketing plans that support sales and organizational objectives, strengthen brand reputation, and elevate the organization’s presence across markets and the communities it serves. Highly collaborative and adaptable, the Marketing Specialist brings strategic ideas to life through thoughtful execution and creative problem-solving. This role thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces change, and contributes to consistent brand storytelling, community engagement, and measurable marketing outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Marketing Execution & Planning

  • Support the execution of business-line marketing plans in partnership with the Manager, Marketing and internal stakeholders.

  • Own the execution of assigned strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with approved objectives, timelines, and budgets.

  • Translate marketing strategies into high-quality campaigns, content, and activations that support sales, brand visibility, recruitment, and community engagement.

Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships internally, with external partners and vendors to support marketing initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with internal business partners to gather insights, identify opportunities, and deliver marketing solutions aligned to needs.

  • Work with third-party vendors (e.g., design, web, photo/video) to develop and deliver high-quality marketing collateral.

Content, Campaigns & Brand Storytelling

  • Develop compelling marketing content and storytelling across digital and social channels that reflects brand standards, northern values, and community impact.

  • Maintain ownership of assigned campaign calendars, ensuring consistent, proactive, and engaging storytelling.

  • Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and activations, including events, sponsorships, and community investment initiatives.

Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Measure, monitor, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and content, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Track engagement, reach, and audience growth across platforms and share regular performance updates with the Manager, Marketing and internal stakeholders.

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Monitor and manage corporate social media channels, including scheduling, moderation, and community engagement in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Stay informed on digital and social media trends and recommend opportunities to enhance engagement, grow audiences, and strengthen community presence.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong creative writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics into accessible, engaging content - Minimum 3 years previous experience.
  • Experience support marketing initiatives within an industrial organization and remote, safety-focused workforce.
  • Proven ability to execute marketing plans, balancing strategic thinking with tactical delivery.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including superior writing, grammar, editing, proofreading, and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet business needs.
  • Significant experience managing social media and online communities across multiple platforms in a business setting.
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools such as Hootsuite, HubSpot, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience identifying target audiences and tailoring campaigns to effectively capture attention.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with partners and staff at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet firm deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, as required.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and a valid passport.
  • Ability to communicate in Inuktitut is a definite asset.
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
