Job Summary

  We are seeking a highly motivated Smart Solutions Market Development Specialist to drive awareness, education, adoption, and growth of ASSA ABLOY Smart Solutions products and technologies including ACCENTRA Digital, Luxer One, Control ID, Centrios and DoorBird. This role combines technical product expertise, training and education, sales enablement, and business development responsibilities. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for Smart Solutions technologies while delivering training programs, engaging key stakeholders, supporting demand generation activities, influencing specifications, and identifying new business opportunities.  

Key Responsibilities

 

Serve as the primary training resource and subject matter expert for Smart Solutions technologies. Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on product training programs for internal and external audiences. Lead customer onboarding and certification programs for distributors, systems integrators, wholesalers, locksmiths, and internal employees. Deliver Train-the-Trainer programs for agency sales teams, channel partners, and internal stakeholders. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through engagement with end users, consultants, architects, engineers, integrators, contractors, and distribution partners. Conduct educational presentations, Lunch & Learns, technology showcases, webinars, and solution demonstrations to promote the Smart Solutions portfolio. Drive end-user demand generation initiatives that create project opportunities and influence purchasing decisions. Participate in trade shows, and customer events to expand market awareness and strengthen industry relationships. Conduct regular product updates, competitive positioning sessions, and solution-selling workshops. Support customer engagement strategies and provide technical consultation throughout the sales process. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system. Perform other duties as required.

 

Education and Experience

 

University or college degree or equivalent experience. Previous experience in business development, technical sales, sales enablement, training, product management, or related roles. Experience within commercial construction, electronic security, access control, building automation, smart building technologies, or a related industry is preferred. Demonstrated success presenting technical solutions to a variety of audiences. Experience delivering instructor-led training, workshops, seminars, and customer presentations. Experience working with consultants, architects, integrators, contractors, and end users is considered a strong asset.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

 

Ability to travel within the assigned territory up to 50% of the time

A valid driving record in good standing
