Qualifications:
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Similar or Equivalent qualifications may be considered
Preferred Additional Certifications:
- Industrial Electronic Technician/Technology
- Electronic Systems Engineering Technology
- Industrial Instrument Mechanic
- Instrumentation Engineering Technology
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Candidates with experience in the following will be given preference:
- PLC/HMI Programming (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Feedback and control devices (RTDs, thermocouples, I2P, encoders, etc.)
- Robot programming and integration (ABB preferred)
- Electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- CNC equipment
- Servo/stepper motor systems
- Machine safeguarding and safety devices
- Basic mechanical system knowledge (as related to automation)
- Pneumatic devices
- System layout, design, detailing, and documentation
- AutoCAD, MS Office proficiency
Key Job Tasks:
- Install, diagnose, and repair complex automated production equipment
- Assist in bid/quote preparation and technical sales
- Procurement of components and materials
- Perform quality control and system commissioning
- Prepare detailed technical documentation
Other Requirements:
- Own basic hand tools and multimeter
- CSA-approved hard-toe safety boots
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Strong attention to detail and high workmanship standards
- Effective time management and organizational skills
