Duties:
The Department of Management and Law is seeking applicants who are qualified to develop and prepare lessons; instruct, assess, and grade student achievement. This position seeks applicants who have a focus on supporting Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) teaching and supervision within graduate-level programs.
Assigned teaching may include undergraduate and graduate courses offered by the Department. Please see the online VIU course calendar for course descriptions.

To assist us in our selection, identify the areas you are qualified to teach in your application. Please be specific and include information related to any past teaching experience.
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service. Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (completed or near completion) in Business, Management, Education, or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
- A relevant Master's degree combined with significant professional and instructional experience in work-integrated learning or career development may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience teaching at the post-secondary level.
- Experience in experiential education and/or work-integrated learning, including internship supervision or applied project-based instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to assess student learning in workplace or community-based learning environments.
- Experience coaching and advising students in professional development contexts.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based academic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and intercultural competence, including experience supporting international students.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching in a graduate business program.

Experience working with international student populations.

Demonstrated success building and maintaining employer and/or community partnerships.

Knowledge of labour market trends and employability skill development.

Professional designation or credential in coaching, career development, or experiential education.

Experience engaging with Indigenous communities and an understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing and learning.
