Required:

Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario

Current BCLS Certification
-
Current IV Initiation Skills certification (adult)

Advanced central venous access devices (CVAD) certification
-
Below the Drip Chamber Drug Administration certified
-
Oncology Nursing Society ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy certification OR de Souza Institute – Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification (will consider applicants enrolled in above programs but must complete certification within 3 months of hire/transfer)

Minimum 2 years experience working front line administering systemic chemotherapy/immunotherapy (inpatient or outpatient setting).

Excellent communication especially related to patient education

Documented commitment to continuing education through in-service, staff meetings and self-motivated learning

Experience in fast paced clinical environment

Acceptable attendance in internal

Acceptable performance appraisal in current position for internal candidates

Commitment to patient care & safety and service excellence
-
Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check

About Woodstock Hospital
Woodstock Hospital is much more than a hospital, it is an essential resource to the quality of life for each person in our catchment area. Everyone at our hospital takes pride in our proven commitment to the health and well being of our patients and our community.
A new 178 bed capacity, full-service community hospital opened on August 26, 2011. We provide primary care to a population of 55,000 people and offer specialized care to nearly 110,000 within the County of Oxford. Our hospital is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of patient-focused medical care with:
- a workforce of over 900 and growing
- over 100 doctors including those with courtesy and consulting privileges
- approx. 140 volunteers
