About the role
Permanent Full Time
We’re looking for a motivated and curious Sr. Analyst, Bond Investments to join our team. Over the course of 2–3 years, you’ll gain hands-on experience across key areas of fixed income investing, including credit research, money markets, derivatives, and public bond trading. This is a unique opportunity to build a strong foundation in investment management while exploring different disciplines to discover where your strengths and interests align.
Upon successful completion of the rotation period, you’ll transition into a permanent role based on business needs and your individual strengths and interests.
What you will do
- Credit Research & Analysis:
Support annual reviews and ongoing analysis of public bond issuers. Assist in evaluating creditworthiness and relative value to inform investment decisions. - Money Markets:
Participate in daily reconciliation of company-wide inflows and outflows. Help manage short-term investments of excess cash in fixed income instruments. - Derivatives:
Provide support to the derivatives team and gain exposure to hedging strategies using a variety of instruments. - Public Bond Trading:
Assist with trade execution and portfolio management activities within public bond markets.
What you will bring
- Graduate with a baccalaureate degree preferably in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or Business Administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and financial analysis skills
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks within deadlines
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to understand complex business issues
- Effective teamwork skills and ability to multi-task and coordinate with multiple team members
- Experience as an investment research analyst or credit analyst considered an asset
- Ability to analyze complex financial models considered an asset
- Active enrollment in the CFA program considered an asset
