Position: IBM Sterling OMS Functional QA Analyst
Location: Canada (Remote) Contract
IBM Sterling OMS Functional QA with Client Handling
Job Summary We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling OMS Functional QA professional with strong knowledge of Order Management business processes and client-facing experience. The candidate should have hands-on experience in testing Sterling OMS applications, validating end-to-end order lifecycle flows, coordinating with business stakeholders, and driving QA activities across multiple releases.
Key Responsibilities
Understand business requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data for IBM Sterling OMS applications. Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT testing. Validate end-to-end Order Lifecycle flows including Order Capture, Sourcing, Inventory Management, Fulfillment, Shipment, Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations. Conduct testing across OMS integrations such as WMS, ERP, Ecommerce, Payment, Tax, and Carrier systems. Analyze requirements and identify test coverage for new enhancements and production fixes. Perform API validation and backend data verification as required. Track defects, participate in defect triage calls, and work with development teams for resolution. Work closely with client business users, product owners, and project stakeholders during requirement discussions and testing cycles. Provide regular status updates, testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to client and leadership teams. Support release validation, production smoke testing, and hypercare activities. Mentor junior QA team members and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in IBM Sterling OMS. Good understanding of Retail and Ecommerce Order Management processes. Experience in Order Capture, Promising, Sourcing, Inventory, Fulfillment, Returns, and Exchanges. Experience working with OMS integrations involving WMS, ERP, Ecommerce platforms, and carrier systems. Strong experience in Functional Testing and End-to-End Testing. Experience with JIRA, ALM, or similar test management tools. Good knowledge of SQL and API testing. Experience working in Agile delivery model.
Client Handling Skills
Ability to directly interact with client business and technology teams. Experience leading client discussions, requirement walkthroughs, and defect triage meetings. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to provide clear status reporting and manage testing-related risks and dependencies. Experience coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.
Good to Have
Selenium automation knowledge. Postman or REST API testing experience. Retail domain experience. Experience with IBM Sterling OMS versions 9.x or above.
