Role Description These full-time, on-site roles in Ottawa, ON involves working as a formsetter, concrete finisher, and or laborer on residential and commercial construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include setting and stripping formwork, preparing subgrades, placing and finishing concrete (including flatwork), and assisting with site cleanup and material handling. Team members may use power tools and light equipment, help with basic carpentry related to forms, and support the crew in maintaining a safe, organized work environment. The role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, following instructions from site supervisors, and collaborating closely with other crew members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Qualifications Experience with formwork, including setting, bracing, and stripping concrete forms. Knowledge of concrete flatwork, including placing, leveling, finishing, and curing slabs. Proficiency using power tools commonly found on concrete and construction sites. Basic carpentry skills for building and adjusting wooden or modular form systems. Familiarity with heavy equipment used on concrete projects (e.g., skid steers, mini-excavators) is an asset. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working outdoors. Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety practices, and ability to follow site instructions and project plans. Prior experience in concrete construction or general labor on construction sites preferred; willingness to learn and take direction is essential. Reliable transportation to Ottawa, ON job sites and availability to work full-time hours.
