Job Title: Custodian Department/Group: Operations Location: Burlington Clinical Summary Of Objective Perform activities as a Custodian related to cleaning to maintain the PCI Burlington Clinical Facility at a "World Class" level. There are no direct supervisory responsibilities associated with this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
- Perform general cleaning duties for the PCI Facility and Grounds including, but not limited to: Cleaning of office areas - vacuuming and cleaning of carpets, general dusting of desks, cleaning of windows, and removal of trash.
- Cleaning of Restrooms - Mopping of floors, cleaning of sinks, urinals, toilet, partitions, and mirrors and removal of trash.
- Cleaning of conference and board rooms - vacuuming and cleaning of carpets, cleaning of tables, removal of trash, and cleaning of windows.
- Cleaning of corridors, entryways and stairways – mopping of floors, vacuuming, cleaning windows, walls, and cleaning and dusting of flat surfaces.
- Lunchroom – cleaning of tables, counters, and other flat surfaces, removal of trash and cleaning of microwaves and fridge.
- Perform dusting of ceiling and wall mounted grilles and registers on an as needed basis.
- Perform warehouse cleans as per schedule: Empty recycling, garbage and documented daily cleans; wash floors or dry mop, clean perimeter lines, wash roll-up doors and clean racking (annually).
- Clean Dycem mats (daily) and scheduled cleans of sampling room, staging area and packaging rooms.
- Exterior cleaning of the grounds, window cleaning and clearing/prepping walkways in winter
- Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
- Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required
- High school graduate or acceptable combination of experience and education
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and to follow procedural instructions.
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and write English at the level usually associated with the completion of High School
Preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
- Ability to work independently and/or part of a team.
- Ability to display excellent time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments.
- Ability to hold oneself in a professional manner.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
The hiring rate for this position is $18.77 -$21.11 CAD plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
