POSITION OVERVIEW

We have an immediate need in our Operations Department for an individual to fill the role of Electro-Mechanical Assembler (Production Technician) on our Production team. This position will be located in Quanser’s Production Facility located on Markham, Ontario (close to Hwy 7 and Hwy 404), and will work day-shift equivalent hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within our growing organization.

During the first 6 months of employment, the selected candidate will

receive electro-mechanical assembly training on our complex systems. The training will cover products, production assembly techniques, as well as the production team’s workflows. The training will set the candidate up for future success in our production department. Upon successful completion of the training period, the candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, monitoring quality control standards, and ensuring that production goals are met.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering Technologist Diploma from a recognized College, or equivalent Technical School Certificate
  • 3-5 years of experience in Electro-Mechanical precision assembly would be considered an asset
  • Experience crimping, soldering, wire stripping
  • Experience building mechanical and electrical assemblies from assembly drawings
  • Proficiency in reading, and following mechanical drawings, schematics, assembly manuals
  • Sound knowledge in electronic components, polarities, wire gauges, color codes, metric & imperial parts
  • Ability to work from assembly drawings, schematics, written instructions, sample products and BOMs
  • Ability to handle multiple job orders with changing priorities, and strict deadlines
  • Ability to focus, prioritize, multi-task, and follow instructions
  • Maintaining a neat and organized work area
  • Ability to work comfortably with the Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Experience in Electro-Mechanical QA inspection, and product testing
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Note:

This is a salaried position, and will qualify for full corporate Group Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, etc.) after 3 months of employment.
