Faculty/Department Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance Unit Media, Art, and Performance-Film Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary

An entry level course that introduces students to technical and creative ways of using mobile phones/cameras and available software to record and edit still and moving images for film, music videos, social media, live streaming. The students will use their own phone/cameras and available software to shoot and edit short exercises and assignments.

Position Requirements

  • The successful candidate must hold an MFA or BFA in Film Production or equivalent field, with preference given to applicants with an MFA who meet all the essential criteria.
  • Essential criteria include experience in film production, as well as creative and technical knowledge of digital and film cameras, audio recording, and editing software.
  • University teaching experience is considered an asset.

Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Other Work Hours

FILM 101AB is currently scheduled on Wednesdays from 18:00 – 20:45 – on campus delivery.
