JOB SUMMARY

The Analyst, Sales Audit & Inventory Control plays a key role in supporting the operational and systems aspects of sales audit, inventory control, and financial reconciliation processes. This role focuses on ensuring data accuracy across systems, monitoring end‑to‑end transaction flows, and supporting operational teams by identifying process gaps, system issues, and improvement opportunities in a multi‑store retail environment.

WHO ARE YOU?

  • You are analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong interest in understanding how sales, inventory, and payments flow through systems.
  • You are comfortable investigating discrepancies across POS systems, inventory platforms, payment processors, AR, and financial records.
  • You enjoy problem-solving and identifying whether issues are caused by process gaps, system configuration, or operational execution.
  • You are organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple follow-ups while keeping strong documentation.
  • You communicate clearly and work well with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, IT, and store teams.
  • You adapt well to change and are motivated to improve processes, controls, and automation in a retail environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of sales, inventory, accounts receivable, and payment data across all retail systems
  • Monitors and validates data flows between POS, inventory management, payment platforms, and financial systems
  • Performs and supports sales audit activities, including review of exceptions, discrepancies, and operational variances
  • Investigates issues related to system configuration, transaction flows, timing differences, or operational processes
  • Supports reconciliations from an operational and systems perspective (AR, credit cards, bank deposits, third-party providers)
  • Assists with physical inventory counts and validates system setup and posting logic
  • Works closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and store teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements, stronger controls, and automation
  • Maintains documentation and supports internal and external audit requirements

SKILLS

  • Experience working across multiple systems and identifying data or process breakdowns
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis skills
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, system reporting, or automation tools is an asset
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working with stores, IT, Finance, and vendors
  • Retail or multi-store environment experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in sales audit, inventory control, retail operations, or financial systems support
  • Strong understanding of POS systems, transaction flows, and retail operations
