Job Description

Within the Mobility and Intelligent Transportation team, as aProject Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading projects of varying scopes in the fields of transportation and intelligent mobility, ensuring delivery within established budgets and schedules;

  • Participating in and coordinating transportation and traffic studies, as well as active and public transportation studies;

  • Participating in and coordinating mobility modeling, simulation and static or dynamic analysis using tools such as AIMSUN, VISUM/VISSIM, and SynchroSim;

  • Writing and coordinating the preparation of technical reports;

  • Designing geometric reconfigurations of urban roads and intersections;

  • Designing traffic signal systems;

  • Designing bicycle lanes and dedicated bus lanes;

  • Carrying out activities related to alignment studies and the preparation of geometry, marking, and signage plans;

  • Representing the project team to the client to ensure that ongoing work meets their expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent;

  • Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (or eligible to apply and attain);

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation planning/ traffic engineering;

  • Knowledge of local and provincial transportation engineering standards;

  • Management and leadership abilities;

  • Strong report-writing skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams;

  • Proficiency with civil engineering design software (an asset);

  • Graduate degree in transportation or traffic and road safety (an asset);

  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) (an asset);

  • Proficiency in English (French an asset).
