Facilities Construction Technician

focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program
in the western Canadian sedimentary basin.
Tourmaline is currently seeking a Facilities Construction Technician to support the Facilities Construction team,
with a primary focus on the company’s Alberta assets. This full-time role is based in Tourmaline’s Calgary office
and involves a wide range of responsibilities from documentation and cost tracking to regulatory coordination
and project execution support.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain professional relationships with Tourmaline staff and contractors in alignment with the
company’s Code of Conduct, ensuring no conflicts of interest.
- Stay informed of industry codes, regulations, and standards; communicate relevant updates to the
team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal project records including inventory, AFEs, regulatory data,
and reports.
- Manage project kickoff documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy:
o Surveys and plot plans
o Environmental and archaeological reports
o Surface land documentation and C&N letters
o Assist with First Nations pre-consultation requirements, where applicable
- Support Engineering and Superintendents in managing EPCMs and reviewing key project documents:
o DBMs, IFA, IFC, and as-built drawings
o QA/QC packages
o Final construction package documentation

Assist in preparation and submission of licenses, permits, and audit requests.

Ensure regulatory notices are submitted on time (e.g., NCS, NPT, LTO, NOI, DDS Bore, COP).

Confirm that all required permits and land packages are in place before project commencement.

Participate in project kickoff meetings and document key actions.

Communicate project progress and any issues internally and externally as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Petroleum Administration, Surface Land
Administration, or related field (an asset).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in a technician or related support role.

Background in surface land, facilities construction, drilling, or production departments is preferred.

Proficiency in oil and gas software systems (e.g., OpenInvoice, OpenTicket).

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented attitude.

Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
