We are hiring for a Full-Time Meat Department Manager with a wage range of $45,000 - $60,000 in the Metro Edmonton area, Alberta.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts
- Merchandise products within refrigeration shelving and coffin case freezers for promotional and seasonal displays
- Schedule Meat Department Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met
- Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed
- Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team
- Train, develop, and motivate Meat Department Team Members
- Resolve customer and Meat Department concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
- Champion the Freson Bros. brand and culture by modeling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth
- Providing an exceptional customer experience
What you Bring:
- 2 years minimum of progressive butcher shop or restaurant management experience
- A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a butcher shop or restaurant environment
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
- Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills
- A passion for leading and developing others
- Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
- Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
