About the role
The Product Coordinator is responsible for the sales administration of construction and forestry products and attachments. This includes, the ordering of equipment, preparation of cost sheets and invoicing. We are looking for a candidate with a broad skill set who can coordinate a variety of day-to-day functions.
Location: Acheson, AB
Work Arrangement: Fixed on site – 5 days per week in the office
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per annum
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and enter purchase orders; confirm supplier acknowledgements.
- Support branches with documentation and processing of stock arrivals.
- Coordinate freight arrangements with the logistics team.
- Prepare construction cost sheets for specific deals or standard templates for Regional Sales Managers.
- Update cost sheets to reflect changes in foreign exchange, freight, and related factors.
- Code and reconcile supplier invoices against cost sheets.
- Review sales documents to confirm billing requirements for sales or rentals.
- Prepare and issue invoices for equipment sales and rentals (directly to customers or via Regional Sales Managers).
- Record cost-of-sales accruals for branch equipment invoicing and reconcile with actuals when posted.
- Work with vendor pricing teams to request and process post-sale credits promptly.
- Prepare general purchase orders.
- Warranty registrations.
This position is classified as an Individual Contributor role in SMS Equipment’s competency framework, requiring demonstration of core competencies (customer focus, collaboration, and technical/functional expertise).
What You Bring
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in either sales or administration. Other requirements include:
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to meet organizational needs.
- Strong customer service skills when working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with computer software and related tools.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and tight schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in equipment distribution or a related industry is considered an asset.
