This is a hands-on summer student role supporting general carpentry and facility maintenance, including building and repairing crates and assisting with small projects. The work is active and physical, involving movement throughout the facility, use of tools and materials, and wearing PPE. Training will be provided for equipment use, and some flexibility in hours may be required.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with general building maintenance, repairs, and painting
- Help build, repair, and modify shipping crates, storage boxes, and shelving
- Support small renovation and facility improvement projects
- Maintain organization and inventory in the carpentry shop and storage areas
- Assist with equipment upkeep, installations, and general facility tasks
- Follow safety procedures, complete required training, and support the team as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed Grade 10 or higher
- Must be authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the carpentry field is an asset.
