About the Role:
The Analyst, Content Distribution supports the Content Distribution team by delivering accurate financial analysis, revenue modelling, and market insights to inform negotiations, audits, and strategic planning. Reporting to the Director, Content Distribution, this role works closely with Finance and Account Managers to ensure data accuracy, clear insights, and reliable internal reporting in a time-sensitive environment.
You will contribute by:
- Collecting, validating, and analyzing distributor remittance and subscriber data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Developing and maintaining revenue and forecasting models to support negotiations, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Analyzing viewership trends, CRTC financial summaries, distributor pricing, and external market insights.
- Preparing materials for Quarterly Business Reviews, budgeting packages, and senior leadership presentations.
- Providing timely ad hoc analysis to support urgent business and negotiation needs.
- Maintaining wholesale rate information within a contract management system.
- Coordinating distributor audits with a third-party auditor and supporting the resolution of billing discrepancies.
Skills and Experience you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in financial analysis, forecasting, or analytical roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience working with large data sets and financial models.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work under tight timelines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the Canadian broadcasting or content distribution environment.
- Familiarity with CRTC financial or regulatory reporting.
- Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Access, or VBA.
- Experience supporting audits or contract management processes.
