##Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the business needs of the Public Policy team within CSA Standards. Works with the manager to oversee the publication process of CSA Public Policy Centre reports. The position combines project management, production oversight, and cross-functional coordination to streamline workflows and maintain accountability for all outputs including the review, editorial, graphic design and translation, as well as project coordination, work planning, and liaising with external vendors and other internal CSA teams including Marketing and Corporate Communications, Legal, Procurement, Research, Government Relations and others.

This role will be the point person for leadership on the status of all CSA Public Policy Centre’s outputs as well as managing timelines, coordinating internal and external teams, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and in accordance with organizational standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Understanding the Business

  • Understands the CSA Group value proposition of business opportunities identified in the Public Policy strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand how the CSA Public Policy Centre activities fit within CSA corporate strategies and priorities.

Working Well with Others

  • Works closely with all members of the Public Policy team to support and provide useful information in preparation for meetings with CSA Group leadership, internal teams and external contacts/partners.
  • Works closely with colleagues across the Standards organization, including Marketing, Corporate Communications and Legal.
  • Works closely with external vendors including report authors, research organizations, editors, translators, graphic designers, etc.to ensure deliverable meet quality and schedule expectations.
  • Facilitate communication across teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and timely decision-making.

Delivering Results

  • Manages the entire publication process and is accountable for the integrity of the development process and the quality and timely delivery of products including review, editorial coordination, graphic design, and translation.
  • Ensures accuracy, quality, consistency, and adherence to organizational and editorial standards.
  • Act as the main liaison between Public Policy leadership and internal/external teams regarding the status of projects and deliverables.
  • Serves as the central point of contact for report approvals and progress updates.
  • Prepares status reports, briefings, and updates for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Triages incoming assignments, prioritizes workload, reports on project status, identifies and mitigates project risks. Prepares content files for production tasks as appropriate.
  • Monitors schedules and manage the flow of products through internal and external resources to complete project deliverables on time and on budget, and keeps the management team informed of advances or delays in the production pipeline.
  • Takes initiative to identify areas of improvement in workflow processes, recommends and implements processes improvement recommendations, and provides process guidance to CSA staff and external resources.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Willing and able to work on special projects from time to time as assigned by management.
  • Other duties as necessary to support the Public Policy team.
  • Undertakes relevant administrative tasks (i.e. procurement, budgeting, etc.) as required to fulfill duties.

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • Undergraduate University degree in Business, Communications, project management, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management and overseeing content production, editorial processes, and/or report publishing, or in related roles—ideally within research, government, or nonprofit settings

  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Bilingual in English and French would be an asset

  • Ability to challenge the status quo in an effort to drive systemic change and improvements.

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management software, as well as web-based meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, etc.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an extended, cross-functional team.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation) – communicates effectively and professionally

The typical hiring range for this position is $86,160 - $113,090 CAD gross annually. The actual base pay offered will depend on factors such as education, licenses, certifications and experience. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
