About the role

POSITION SUMMARY

The main mission of the broker is to develop buying and selling strategies for recycled fibers in North America. Purchases may be allocated to internal operations or made directly for a client. The broker also manages the sale of materials processed in our facilities, whether they are surplus or not intended for Kruger’s consuming mills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop sales and purchasing strategies.

Build the commercial strategy according to company objectives.

Analyze the market and be able to identify and leverage trends and opportunities while mitigating risks.

Identify and contact new suppliers/clients.

Lead a team.

Negotiate partnerships and new outlets with clients.

Follow up with suppliers and potential clients.

Manage customer complaints and rejections.

Achieve set targets for tonnage and margin.

Provide documents for export sales.

QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

EXPEREINCE:

Minimum of 10 years experience in pulp and paper sales or industrial sectors.

3 to 5 years of professional experience in a management role.

SKILLS AND ABILITY

Excellent customer service skills;

Good personal leadership skills;

Ability to organize, prioritize and work with tight deadlines.

Strong communication skills;

Team player;

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Available for frequent travel.

LANGUAGES

Bilingual, both oral and written (English and French)

Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them. Kruger has taken all reasonable steps to avoid imposing English language requirements, including assessing the actual language needs associated with the duties to be performed, ensuring that the language skills already required of other employees were insufficient for the performance of those duties, and limiting as much as possible the number of positions with duties requiring English language skills.
