Role At WPP Media, we believe in the power of our culture and our people. It’s what elevates us to deliver exceptional experiences for both our clients and each other. In this role it will be critical to embrace WPP & WPP Media’s shared core values:
- Be Extraordinary by Leading Collectively to Inspire transformational Creativity.
- Create an Open environment by Balancing People and Client Experiences by Cultivating Trust.
- Lead Optimistically by Championing Growth and Development to Mobilize the Enterprise.
WPP Media is seeking a high-performing Project Manager to join our Growth Team, a strategic function
responsible for retaining existing and driving new business across Canada. This is not your average PM role.
It’s high-stakes, high-visibility, and deeply integrated into the core of our agency’s future.
You’ll be at the center of the action managing complex, cross-functional pitches and initiatives where media,
creative, strategy, and senior leadership intersect. You will be building momentum, solving problems, and
keeping high-performing teams aligned and energized in pursuit of some of Canada’s most exciting brand
partnerships.
We’re looking for someone who’s eager, hungry to learn, growth-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, teamfirst
environment. You must be highly organized, an excellent communicator, and above all, proactive – able to
anticipate issues, flag risks, and drive work forward without needing to be told twice. This role is best suited to
someone who takes pride in being the glue that holds big, complicated workstreams together with
professionalism, clarity, and a sense of humour intact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-profile new business pitches and growth projects from kickoff to final delivery,
ensuring all workstreams move forward with clarity and accountability.
- Own project operations – including timelines, workback schedules, task lists, trackers, and internal
check-ins across multidisciplinary teams.
- Facilitate key milestone meetings and ensure timely coordination between strategy, media, creative,
finance, operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Track and manage inputs, deadlines, and team deliverables, holding contributors accountable while
maintaining positive momentum and collaboration.
- Identify bottlenecks and risks early, problem-solve in real time, and escalate with context and solutions
– not just problems.
- Support pitch logistics and documentation, from RFP response structuring to asset management and
presentation production.
- Champion strong internal communication, ensuring everyone is aligned on objectives, roles, and
timelines, especially in high-pressure moments.
- Uphold high standards for craft, quality, and integrity across all work delivered by the Growth team.
Who You Are
- A natural project owner. Someone who thrives on structure but isn’t paralyzed without it.
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to stay organized, responsive, and clear in the face of shifting
priorities and high expectations.
- An excellent communicator who knows how to get people aligned and keep things moving with clarity
and efficiency.
- Flexible and fast-moving, able to work through ambiguity and chart a path forward, even when not all
the pieces are in place.
- A team-first contributor who genuinely enjoys collaborating, supporting others, and building a culture of
trust and accountability.
- Detail-oriented, but never loses sight of the big picture.
- Self-aware, self-starting, and open to feedback, with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in project management or operations, ideally within an agency, media,
marketing, or fast-paced creative environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with overlapping stakeholders and tight
deadlines.
- Experience working with or alongside executive stakeholders.
- Fluent in digital communication platforms (Microsoft Teams, etc.).
- Familiarity with the marketing or advertising landscape is an asset, but not required.
What You’ll Gain
- A front-row seat to some of Canada’s most high-profile pitches, partnerships, and brand conversations
- The chance to work with senior talent and executive leadership across WPP and WPP Media
- A close-knit, fast-moving team that values high standards, honest communication, and a good laugh
- A team that champions clarity, autonomy, and your personal growth
- An opportunity to grow your career in one of the world’s leading media networks
This is a hybrid role with an in-office expectation in Toronto. We believe the best collaboration happens
face-to-face, and this role plays a critical role in driving high-touch, team-based work.
