Electronics Repair Technician / Technologist Salary range: $55,000 - $75,000
Main Tasks (non-exhaustive List)
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic technology equipment to board level and main system components, using measurements and testing devices, soldering techniques, software utilities/tools and various hand tools.
- Repair Arc Welding equipment components such as power supplies wire feeders, torches, and battery chargers
- Software commissioning and system integration
- Assembly of welding systems
- Provide email and telephone support for welding related repairs to internal technical colleagues as well as external repair partners.
- Documenting of repairs for R&D
Job Requirements
- Technologist or Technician diploma in Electronics Engineering program with at least 3 years of experience
- Bench level component troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willing to learn how to solve complex hardware and software problems through analytical problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and procedures
- Experienced with using various MS office programs: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
Nice To Have
- Experience with welding systems is an asset
- Knowledge of working with ERP / SAP (BAAN) an asset
