Queen's IT Services is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support the rollout of our Enterprise CRM (ECRM). In this role, you'll be the bridge between technology and people—working with campus partners to enhance recruitment and admissions, improve the student experience, and empower staff with more efficient processes and powerful CRM tools.

You'll bring strong analytical and communication skills to uncover business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and help design practical solutions. Whether it's mapping workflows, analyzing data, or simplifying technical language for diverse stakeholders, your work will drive informed decision-making and lasting impact.

This is a collaborative role where you'll engage with cross-functional teams, track progress, manage risks, and recommend improvements that can be realized through technology. Along the way, you'll gain exposure to enterprise systems, contribute to meaningful digital transformation, and develop your career within a supportive, learning-focused environment.

This position provides expertise to aid in the planning, design and development of technical resources. This position translates business requirements into an implementation plan with clients and members of the team. This position updates project managers, sponsors of progress towards objectives, and ensures issues are logged and resolved.

Job Description

What you will do

  • Reviews and edits business requirements and processes, and provides regular updates to project managers and client groups.

  • Conducts research, develops detailed queries, and addresses information systems changes and business process improvements.

  • Recommends system and business process improvements on information system and business process issues.

  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Provides user support, and 3rd level help desk support.

  • Ensures updates and changes to any application configurations meet change management and security specifications.

  • Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.

Required Education

  • Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent in an information technology discipline is preferred. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

Required Experience

  • More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.

  • Experience in client and/or customer experience functions considered an asset.

  • Experience in managing/developing strategic communication plans considered an asset.

  • Experience in data, trend analysis and reporting considered an asset.

  • Experience in platform solutions considered an asset.

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • A CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) certification considered an asset.

  • Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Lead procedural or technological change within a unit.
  • Identify new problems and seek information and input to fully understand the cause of problems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes.
  • Draw logical conclusions and provides opinions and recommendations.
