THE POSITION:

Reporting to the Credit Manager, this position will interact with customers, review and approve credit applications, collect payments and support any account inconsistencies to facilitate swift payment of invoices. This is an in-office position located in Balzac. Hours will be Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve credit applications. This would include obtaining credit bureau reports and contacting references.

• Manage collections for assigned accounts, including following up on past due balances, negotiating payment plans, escalating delinquent accounts and supporting legal recovery.

• Keep records of collection and the status of accounts.

• Receive payments, post to customer accounts, and prepare statements

• Follow A/R policies and procedures.

• Build working relationships with internal departments to resolve customer disputes in a timely manner.

• Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial transactions as they relate to the organization and its customers.

Requirements:

• Experience of 2+ years is preferred.
• Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Basic Excel understanding.
