Location:
This role is an in-office role within SPLICE’s Calgary corporate office. We are a people-first company and can be flexible with how your hours are structured, but we picture seeing your smiling face in office every day (except Fridays which are frequently work from home, at the discretion of your manager)
Who you are:
You are a**QA Analyst (New Graduate)**who is detail-oriented and passionate about delivering high-quality software. In this role, you will primarily work closely with developers and product teams to ensure our applications meet quality standards before release. In addition, this role will also involve supporting our digital and audio assets, primarily building assets, and providing your unique opinion on future process and system improvements.
We offer a mentorship and training in QA and testing practices, hands-on experience with real software products, and a collaborative engineering culture.
This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career insoftware testing and quality control.
In this role, you will:
- Create and execute test suites
- Identify, document, and track bugs
- Write clear and reproducible test cases
- Create, edit, and support User Acceptance Testing with Client Success
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues
- Participate in product discussions
- Help improve testing processes and quality standards
- Assist with basic test automation where possible
- Create and maintain test and standards documentation
- Build recording plans and audio assets
- Correspond and build relationships with voice talents
- Maintain audio assets
- Integrate AI into QA processes
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or graduating soon)
- Basic understanding ofsoftware testing concepts
- Strong attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written communication skills
Nice to Have
- Basic programming knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or Java)
- Experience with issue tracking tools (Jira, Linear, etc.)
- Internship, school project, or QA coursework
