Primary Purpose Of Position The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for assisting in the delivery of a large-scale demolition project at a biofuel facility in Edmonton. This 6-month contract role, will be on site, and requires coordination, organization, and control of project administrative activities under the direction of a Project Manager (PM), Senior PM, and/or the Director of Projects.
In addition to supporting overall project execution, this role will also focus on salvage and materials management, helping the project team capture, track, and organize valuable materials recovered during demolition.

Job Duties
- Assist with determination of project requirements for start-up, progression, and close-out.
- Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules.
- Review daily progress of on-site work reported by Foremen (labour and equipment).
- Apply for permits as needed.
- Use B2W and Viewpoint to support project cost tracking.
- Develop Waste Audits and Waste Reduction Work Plans as per applicable regulations.
- Prepare BlackBox to be distributed to the job site.
- Support client relationships by effectively and accurately communicating project updates.
- Manage project documentation (contracts, drawings, specs), ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Track progress of projects by verifying production reported by the foreman against project drawings.
- Assist PM in reviewing subcontractor quotations and issuing Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
- Track and manage change orders.
- Assist with monthly progress billings and ensure timely submission of invoices.
- Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure project close-out requirements are met.
- Communicate ideas for improving company processes constructively and collaboratively.
Salvage & Materials Management
- Assist in coordinating salvage operations during demolition activities.
- Take detailed photos of materials identified for salvage.
- Log, catalogue, and track salvaged materials in inventory systems.
- Work closely with site teams to ensure salvaged items are documented accurately and stored securely.
- Provide regular updates and reports on salvage materials for project and client review.
Requirements
- College, University, or equivalent degree in a related discipline (Construction/Project Management preferred).
- 2+ years’ experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of demolition or construction projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in managing changing priorities.
- Familiarity with demolition methods and legislation is a strong asset.
- Strong preference for candidates with Viewpoint and B2W One Suite software experience.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Primavera P6 is an asset.
- Experience with inventory management, documentation, or materials tracking considered a strong asset.
Work Conditions
