Accounts Receivable Manager
About the role
Our Calgary client is seeking an experienced AR Manager to join their finance team. This role oversees global trade receivables across regions, products, and customers, including credit risk assessment, credit limits, billing support, collections, and cash application. You’ll build and maintain strong AR processes that support growth while managing risk, driving timely cash collection, healthy working capital, and a positive customer experience. You’ll partner closely with Account Management, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Finance to set policies, resolve disputes, and support rapid global growth.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Own global trade receivables and collections end-to-end, driving timely cash collection and strong working capital
- Define and continuously improve global credit policies, controls, and procedures aligned with risk appetite and growth goals
- Conduct customer credit assessments and set credit limits and payment terms using financial analysis and external data
- Monitor AR aging and DSO, lead proactive collections, and resolve disputes in partnership with Account Management
- Oversee accurate cash application, reconciliations, and month-end close support across multiple entities and currencies
- Deliver AR reporting and insights, while driving process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
Your strengths include:
- 4+ years of experience in credit, collections, or AR, ideally in a high-growth, SaaS/AdTech/eCommerce environment
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, AR processes, collections strategies, and revenue-to-cash workflows
- Experience managing enterprise and/or mid-market customers across multiple regions and currencies
- Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, including AR and bad debt provisioning
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with customers and internal teams
- Highly organized with strong ownership, leadership/mentoring experience, and ERP (e.g., NetSuite) proficiency for AR reporting and metrics
