About the role

NSF is seeking to add a Coordinator I to its growing team. In this role, the successful candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and customer related duties with varying complexity to support the Food Label and Compliance team programs and processes. As well as communicate with and provide technical and administrative support services to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The ability to anticipate and resolve problems will be key in this role.

  • Responsibilities: Developing nutrient and ingredient labelling information in compliance with government regulations, policies and company guidelines
  • Compile and issue Nutrition Facts tables, ingredient lists, allergen information and any other required information for compliant labelling
  • Assist in the constant improvement of labelling systems, processes, content, and oversight while maintaining consistency and agility
  • Has direct responsibility for a specific set of tasks related to a project as it pertains to nutrition labelling services
  • Provides administrative support services for client driven project activities
  • Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties
  • Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases
  • Prepares and maintains relevant work records, reviews documents, expense reports, timesheets, tracks document control
  • Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team including responding to routine inquiries and communicating with established clients to support ongoing projects
  • May act as a liaison for area of responsibility (AOR) with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participates in courses, conferences and other training opportunities in order to expand regulatory knowledge base
  • Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health and Safety program and policies

  • Qualifications: Minimum post-secondary school degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education

  • Exemplary communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadline

  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to move up to 5 - 10 lbs. from one area to another. Light lifting is required

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
