Overview:
Analytical Sciences is an integral part of Vaccine CMC Development and Supply (VCDS) within Research & Development (R&D). Our team focuses on developing, qualifying, and validating analytical methods to support new vaccine candidates throughout the pre-clinical and clinical phases. Additionally, we provide analytical testing support for commercial products and assist in investigating process and product-related issues.

Main Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for specific scientific, technical, and compliance aspects of assigned projects, ensuring that objectives are met. Plan, execute, and/or supervise analytical activities (develop, improve, and transfer analytical methods and testing support and documentation for seeds and cell banks, pre-clinical and clinical materials) within the platform for the project to ensure scientific and technical excellence.
- To ensure good scientific and technical skills within Analytical Sciences, keep abreast of the current developments in relevant scientific and technical disciplines, and ensure current developments are implemented when appropriate.
- Prepare internal and external presentations, patent filings, research manuscripts, and review articles as required.
- Ensure compliance with GxP and other quality and documentation requirements, such as preparation of technical documents.
- Share information and harmonize development within Analytical Sciences, and other departments such as Bioprocess Development, Manufacturing, Science, Analytics & Technology (MSAT), Manufacturing & Supply, Quality Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical/Medical as necessary. Ensure good teamwork and provide high-quality deliverables, such as technical reports and development reports, within agreed timeframes.
- In-depth knowledge of experimental work and data analysis. Working knowledge of computer skills, scientific writing and presentations, technical laboratory and troubleshooting, communication skills, and innovative thinking is required.
- Works within the policies, procedures, and regulations as required by the Company and under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
About You
Education / Experience:
- BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Virology, Biotechnology, Immunology, or other related field with 5+ years’ experience
- MS/PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Virology, Biotechnology, Immunology, or other related field with 2+ years’ experience
- In-depth knowledge of immunology.
- Experience in maintaining laboratories and equipment in cGMP. Familiarity with testing in compliance with current regulations is preferred.
- Proven verbal and written communication, organizational, and team skills are required.
