Senior Advisor, Corporate Development PowerON Drives The Development Of Large-scale Electrification Projects By Providing Turnkey Solutions Encompassing All Electrical Infrastructure From The Electricity Grid Connection To Vehicle Chargers, Including
- Infrastructure delivery and project management;
- Operations and maintenance;
- On-site generation, battery storage and back-up power; and,
- Smart charging and energy management.
The Senior Advisor, Corporate Development, is a high-impact individual contributor role supporting PowerON’s corporate growth, strategic initiatives, and investment and project financing activities. The role works closely with senior leadership to provide analytical, financial, and execution support across corporate development initiatives, investment and project financing transactions, strategic business development efforts, and executive decision-making. This is an execution-focused role offering significant exposure to senior leadership, financing partners, and strategic decision-making in a fast-growing electrification and infrastructure business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead corporate development initiatives through structured analysis, financial modeling, and execution support for strategic projects under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Lead the evaluation and execution of investment and project financing opportunities, partnerships, and transactions, including financial analysis, commercial assessment, and coordination of diligence inputs.
- Build, maintain, and review detailed financial models to support investment cases, project financing transactions, contract economics, and new business models, including cash flow modeling, debt sizing, sensitivity analysis, and return metrics.
- Support capital raising and financing initiatives by preparing lender and investor materials, financial analyses, investment memoranda, and supporting due diligence processes.
- Lead strategic business development and growth initiatives, including market assessments, business case development, and evaluation of new products, services, and market entry opportunities.
- Support commercial strategy and contract-related initiatives by assisting with financial analysis, risk assessment, and preparation of decision materials.
- Develop high-quality executive- and board-ready presentations, briefing materials, and decision documents.
- Project-manage strategic initiatives and special projects, coordinating inputs across internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
- Lead the development and improvement of internal tools, templates, and processes related to corporate development, financing, strategic planning, and business development.
- Support senior leadership through ad hoc analyses, structured problem-solving, and execution support on priority corporate development, growth, and commercial initiatives.
- Support other tasks across the company as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. Masters in Business Administration is a strong asset.
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate development, investment banking, infrastructure advisory, project financing, or a related role.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including experience building and reviewing cash flow models, project finance models, investment analyses, and scenario/sensitivity analyses.
- Experience supporting investment and/or project financing transactions, including exposure to due diligence, capital structuring, and transaction documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive- and board-level presentations, briefing materials, and decision documents.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with limited direction.
- Interest in electrification, energy transition, infrastructure development, and public-private investment models.
