About the role
Role Impact:
Under general supervision, the Analyst role provides expertise in Investments and conducts complex analysis of data, developing related reports and recommendations to support the Investments group in all of its initiatives, including strategy, acquisitions and dispositions.
What you will deliver:
- Assist in underwriting real estate investment opportunities (acquisitions/dispositions) for both asset and corporate level transactions
- Participate in the execution of real estate and real estate-related acquisitions and dispositions, including performance of asset and market due diligence
- Assist in the development and management of financial models for investments, investment management, scenario analysis and financing
- Participate in the research, analysis and execution of strategic initiatives
What your strengths are:
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to develop working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Basic project management skills
- Must have ability to travel domestically as required
What you need to succeed:
- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline with top academic credentials
- CA, CFA, MBA an asset, but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in a multi-sector real estate, private equity, development or investment banking firm in an investment, valuation and/or asset management capacity
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling) and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Solid grounding in financial concepts, corporate finance and valuation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple or competing deadlines
Starting base salary for this job level may range from $68,610 to $91,480. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
