Job Information: We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable advertising compliance specialist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and approving marketing and advertising materials for all transit and airport authorities to ensure full compliance with Canadian advertising laws and industry standards, including the Canadian code of advertising standards and applicable federal/provincial regulations as well as handling sensitive cases that may attract public & Media.

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications and will work closely with charting, sales and transit/airport authority contacts.

We are establishing a new Creative Ad Approval unit to manage the review and approval of all creative for transit and airport advertising. This team ensures that submitted ads comply with legal, cultural, and community standards, while handling sensitive cases that may attract public, media, or regulatory attention.

What you’ll do…

  • Review incoming advertising creative to ensure compliance with transit/airport stakeholder requirements, Ad Standards Canada guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Assess creative for sensitive issues including public sentiment, cultural nuances, geopolitical conflicts, and religious considerations.
  • Communicate approval decisions clearly and professionally to internal teams, transit/airport partners
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on advertising regulations and ethical marketing practices.
  • Monitor changes in Canadian advertising regulations and advise internal teams accordingly.
  • Manage a high daily volume of creative submissions and maintain efficient processing.
  • Support the Vice-President of Marketing & Communications in cases of escalations, including handling advertiser appeals, media inquiries, and legal/regulatory complaints.

Who you are …

  • Diploma/Degree in advertising/marketing/business admin or a related field (recent graduates welcome)
  • Strong interest and understanding of public opinion, cultural sensitivity, and current issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle a constant workflow efficiently.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian code of advertising standards is an asset but not required
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify regulatory risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross functional teams.
