4- Additional Notes • Must possess a comprehensive set of personal carpentry tools sufficient for a fully equipped, experienced carpenter. • Must have a valid local driver’s license and a personal pickup truck for transporting materials and tools. • Must have at least one year of work experience in British Columbia, Canada, and be familiar with local building codes and regulations. • Foreign applicants should have completed a basic carpentry or building-related onboarding program in British Columbia, such as the Onboarding Track Program from BCCA, to gain foundational knowledge of local building standards and practices. • Must be capable of completing a wide range of carpentry tasks in compliance with Canadian building standards. Tasks may include framing, building houses, finishing work, cabinetry, furniture making, and other carpentry projects. • Must demonstrate carpentry skills and abilities that meet the company’s quality standards and performance expectations. • Must be able to work well within a team, establishing positive and cooperative relationships with coworkers. • Physically fit, with strength and stamina to handle lifting and carrying heavy materials and equipment; regular fitness or exercise habits are an asset. • Knowledge of an additional language is considered an asset; proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly preferred.
