The J. Hansen HVAC Group Inc. is in search of a Director of Business Development & Client Relations**.** The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is a highly motivated and relationship-driven individual. They will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing long-term client partnerships, and expanding our presence within the commercial and industrial mechanical markets.
Working closely alongside the General Manager and ownership team, this individual will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the overall strategic growth of the company. With their professional approach and technical understanding, they will provide exceptional customer service and help enhance our corporate image and reputation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities while growing and maintaining existing customer accounts
- Build and expand a service maintenance portfolio through the sale of service contracts and preventative maintenance agreements
- Prepare and provide accurate quotations and follow up with customers on new and existing projects
- Review tender documents and project specifications and respond accordingly
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and business development goals
- Perform account management duties and conduct regular on-site visits with clients
Customer Engagement & Technical Support
- Create and deliver professional sales presentations to customers
- Introduce new products, technologies, and technical updates to clients
- Communicate with customers regarding project progress, system capabilities, and technical matters
- Provide exceptional customer support and service to all new and existing clients
- Develop relationships with engineering firms, consultants, and building owners to support system design and specifications
Collaboration & Operations
- Collaborate closely with the Service Department to support new business, key accounts, and parts sales
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery
- Assist with estimating, material take-offs, and project planning as required
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative and results-driven team environment
- Attend scheduled sales meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes
- Complete required reports, documentation, and administrative tasks in a timely manner
- Perform other related duties as assigned; occasional out-of-town work may be required
Beneficial Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within HVAC, mechanical, or construction industries
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical systems
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
Working Conditions:
- Combination of office, field, and client site visits
- Regular travel within service areas; occasional out-of-town work may be required
- Interaction with industrial, commercial, and construction environments
