About the role

Title: Senior Director of Operations Status: Full Time Salary: $140,000 - $160, 000 About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Operations to lead a large portfolio of cleaning operations across multiple client sites. Reporting to the Vice President, Eastern Canada, you will provide leadership to a team of Operations Directors and operational leaders responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality service to our clients. This role is accountable for operational performance, financial results, client satisfaction, employee engagement, and developing the operations team. We're looking for someone who understands the cleaning industry, has experience leading large, multi-site operations, and knows how to balance client expectations with operational and financial performance. This is a leadership role that requires someone who is visible in the business, supports their teams, and works collaboratively across the organization. What You'll Be Doing Lead a portfolio of cleaning operations across multiple client sites, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Operations Directors and other operational leaders Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication, site visits, and business reviews Monitor operational performance, labour costs, budgets, productivity, and financial results, taking action where needed to improve performance Work closely with People and Culture (Human Resources) on employee relations, labour relations, performance management, workforce planning, and leadership development Ensure compliance with collective agreements, company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable employment legislation Support operational planning, staffing strategies, mobilizations, and new business transitions Conduct regular site visits to support teams, maintain quality standards, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Partner with Finance, People & Culture, Business Development, and other corporate departments to support company initiatives and achieve business objectives Contribute to the development and execution of operational strategies that support continued growth and service excellence Support special projects, other duties, events, and changing operational requirements Who You Are 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial cleaning, facility services, property services, hospitality, or another service-based industry Experience leading large, multi-site operations with responsibility for operational performance, financial results, and client relationships Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing management teams Experience working in a unionized environment with a strong understanding of collective agreements and labour relations Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, labour management, and performance reporting Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, employees, union representatives, and senior leadership A practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Post-secondary education in Business, Operations, or a related field is considered an asset A valid driver's licence with the ability to travel regularly to client sites We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications for all who are eligible to apply.
